Since 2013, there has been a cucumber on the Russian market, reviews of which are only positive. This variety has the technical name SV 4097 TsV. The hybrid was developed in the Netherlands by the agricultural firm Monsanto Holland B. V. especially for the Russian market. Recommended for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Consider the characteristics of the variety and how it is grown.

Description of the bush and fruit

A variety of early ripening - only 34–40 days pass from germination of seeds to the receipt of the first fruits. Bushes of the parthenocarpic type do not require bee pollination. Designed for cultivation in open and closed areas. Plants are tall, growing on average 1.5 meters in height, grown in one stem. In the axils of the leaves, from one to three fruits are formed.

The yield is high - when grown in open beds, up to 9 kilograms of fruits are harvested per square meter, in a greenhouse - up to 15 kilograms. Gardeners prefer vertical cultivation of cucumber plants, so it is more convenient to observe the growth and harvest. If the bushes grow on the street, then you can get a crop with horizontal growth of the whip.

Description of cucumber fruits SV 4097 CV f1 - weigh on average 80–100 grams with a length of 11–13 centimeters. The skin of the fruit is dark green with a yellow tint. The flower has light, slightly noticeable stripes along the length that do not reach the middle of the fruit. There are a large number of white spines on the surface. The taste of the fruit is bright, cucumber, sweet. The seeds are small, barely noticeable. In warm, humid weather, fruits tend to stretch in length, and vice versa.

The variety is resistant to a number of diseases, among them:

  • cucumber mosaic virus;
  • powdery mildew;
  • brown spot.

The variety is characterized by overgrowth, so the harvest must be removed on time. Suitable for fresh consumption and conservation.

Positive qualities of the variety

The hybrid has proven itself on the positive side among summer residents and large agricultural producers due to its qualities:

  1. Has an early ripening period.
  2. Excellent commercial qualities.
  3. Amicable feedback.
  4. The variety is stored for a long time without losing its commercial qualities.
  5. Produces a high yield.
  6. Resistant to disease.

Therefore, gardeners and manufacturers are trying to grow it on their plots.

Agrotechnical cultivation

Cucumber plants are grown in two ways: seedling and sowing seeds to a permanent place of growth.

To get cucumbers earlier, first, in a warm room, seeds are planted for seedlings, and then, after a month, the seedlings are moved to the main place of growth in a greenhouse or garden bed. With the seedling method, the crop will ripen two weeks ahead of schedule, usually at the end of June.

When sowing seeds in the main place of growth, they wait until stable warm weather is established outside. When the temperature on the thermometer reaches 22-24 degrees, seeds are sown in the beds. The distance between plantings is kept 40 by 20 centimeters, in the greenhouse it can be increased: 40 by 30 centimeters. This is to ensure that the plants do not shade each other.

Plant care

For plants to grow and bear fruit well, they need care:

  • watering;
  • top dressing;
  • weeding;
  • loosening the soil;
  • garter.

Here is a short list of activities in cucumber cultivation.

Top dressing is essential for better growth. Carry out at least three times with various fertilizers: mineral and organic.

Watering is needed for the ripening of fruits and plant growth; in case of drought, it is carried out every day early in the morning or late in the evening so that the water that gets on the leaves does not burn the plant.

The beds are weeded as the grass grows, it is necessary to loosen the soil more often so that the fungus does not multiply in moist soil. Also, the roots of plants need access to air for growth.

Inspection of plants for diseases will prevent the disease from spreading and ruining the long-awaited crop. If you find diseased plants, immediately remove them from the garden and burn them at the stake. This will save healthy plants from infection.

With the right choice of a place for planting and caring for plants, the harvest will delight its owners with the abundance and quality of fruits.
