A delicious and unusual wine can be made from blackberries. There are many simple blackberry wine recipes that you can easily make at home. The main thing is to be patient, because this is a rather lengthy process.

History reference

For the first time, blackberry wine was made in Serbia. True, it is impossible to establish the exact date of manufacture. In Serbia, such alcoholic beverages were made exclusively for home use.

According to one of the legends, on his deathbed, one winemaker said to his son "I taught you everything I knew, but in the end I will say one more thing - wine can be made from grapes as well." From this legend, it is not difficult to assume that wine in Serbia was made from almost all berries and fruits.

The subtleties of preparing a drink

Any variety will work for any recipe. It is best to use very ripe or overripe fruits. Both wild blackberries and homemade varieties can be used. The skin contains a large amount of wild yeast, thanks to which the fermentation takes place actively. The berries make very tasty sweet and strong wines.
