Already in 1988, seedlings of a new variety were allocated to the elite class, and two years later the plants were transferred to the category prepared for state tests, according to which the variety was included in the State Register of Russia and recommended for cultivation in several regions of our country. In addition, the Imrus variety was zoned in the Republic of Belarus. The variety is well adapted to cultivation in horticulture with an intensive type of cultivation of fruit crops.

The main advantages of the variety are:

The fruit tree is characterized by average heights. The crown of an apple tree of medium density, broadly rounded or spreading. As a rule, skeletal branches depart from the stem at an acute angle, are characterized by significant curvature and can be located at a fairly large distance from each other. A feature of the bark on the stem, as well as the main branches, is significant peeling. The brown uniform color of the bark on the stem and branches is diluted with a slight greenish tint.

Fruiting is a mixed type, a significant number of fruits are formed on simple and complex gloves. Flowering occurs in the early medium. Pollen is characterized by average viability, in the process of free pollination only about 17% of the fruits are formed. The highest quality pollinators for the Imrus variety have not yet been identified.

Small sized kidneys are characterized by hairiness and conical shape. The leaves are oblong, slightly egg-shaped, with long and pointed, characteristic twisted ends. The edges of the leaves are wavy and have a shallow-jagged serration. The leaf plate is characterized by wrinkling, gloss and slight venation. Petiole is not too long and thick. There is hairiness and anthocyanin staining that spreads along the central vein.

The thyroid inflorescence includes from four to six flowers. Small, slightly flat flowers have a pinkish tint. Pedicels shortened.

Most often, apples of this variety have an average size, and fruit weight indicators range from 0.14 to 0.18 kg. The form is pronounced flattened or repetitive. There is a slight ribbing of the fruit. The peel is not thick enough and smooth, has a glossy tint, light oiliness. There is completely no wax coating and rust.

In the phase of removable ripeness, the fruits of this variety have a greenish basic staining. At the stage of consumer maturity, the color of apples is light yellow. There is a significant amount of small, clearly visible subcutaneous points. The peduncle is of medium length and thickness, slightly curved. The seed material is brown, medium in size, well decorated.

Chemical composition and application

The fruits of the Imrus variety have a delicate sour-sweet taste and a very pleasant apple aroma. Thick flesh of cream color. The structure of the pulp is fine-grained. In accordance with the tasting scale, the palatability of fruits is estimated at 4.4 points. Assessment of the appearance of apples is 4.3 points on a five-point scale.

The chemical composition of fully ripened fruits is as follows:

  • total sugar content at 10%;
  • the content of ascorbic acid at the level of 10 mg in 100 g of ripe apple pulp;
  • the content of pectin substances does not exceed 15%;
  • titrated acid content does not exceed 0.65%;
  • the content of P-active substances is 460 mg per 100 g of fruit.

Apples "Imrus" are great for fresh consumption, and are also often used for preparing winter preparations, including mashed potatoes, compotes and juices.

Planting and Care Rules

Apple-tree "Imrus" is unpretentious to the conditions of planting and cultivation. The plant can easily enough adapt to conditions that are quite far from ideal. By planting dates, the plant is more demanding: the autumn period is most favorable for this. It is recommended to plant plants from the last decade of September to October 15.

The choice of land for landing requires taking into account the following indicators and conditions:

  • open space not obscured by structures and other plantings;
  • good lighting;
  • sufficient remoteness from other species of fruit trees.
